On Monday night, at marathon public hearing, over 30 people spoke to why reducing barriers for Secondary Dwelling Units in Eugene is important, and why Eugene needs to do more to comply with state law SB 1051. Thank you to the 30+ people who turned out to speak! You can watch it online.
The public record is still open! If you weren't able to make the hearing, you can still send written comments to the city by emailing Alissa.H.Hansen@ci.eugene.or.us Council voted to extend the record by two weeks, so comments are being accepted until April 30th!
Sending a written comment can be as simple as emailing to say that you support housing affordability and choice, and want Council to fully comply with SB 1051 by the deadline of July 1st, 2018.
Council is scheduled to discuss and possibly decide on Monday, May 14th.
Thank you again!
